FIREFIGHTERS have been fighting a large house blaze this morning, Monday September 1 in Haslington, Crewe.
Two fire engines from Crewe and one each from Sandbach, Nantwich, Middlewich and Malpas were called to the incident in Maw Green Road at 1.26am.
Crews were faced with a property that was well alight. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to initially tackle the fire.
Because of the possibility of a roof collapse crews had to withdraw and the fire was attacked with a main jet and hose reel jets from outside the building.
Power supplies to the building were isolated and crews have been removing roof tiles and damping down throughout the night. One fire engine remains at the scene, damping down. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
