A GRANDMOTHER is appealing for help to find her four-year-old grandson's treasured teddy.

The youngster lost his bear on a shopping trip in Crewe between 10.30am and 1.30pm on Sunday.

The Winnie the Pooh is a small blanket bear and has the boy's name, Bobby, on it.

His grandmother Christine Mercer said: "The blanket is about 9in square and has his name on it.

"He's had it since he was born.

"He's got lots of other bears but only wants that one because of its smell."

The family backtracked to see if they could spot it on the day and have also contacted the shops they went into.

Christine said: "If someone picked it up we would be really grateful if they could give it back."

Anyone who can help should ring Christine on 01925 265817 or 07725 940322.
