A CYCLIST escaped with only minor injuries after a hit and run in Crewe.
Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to the incident, which occurred on Friday, May 8.
At around 3:18pm a dark coloured car collided with a cyclist on Mill Street at the box junction of Pedley Street and Hope Street in Crewe.
The car then fled the scene from Mill Street and turned onto Hope Street heading towards Edlestone Road.
The cyclist, a 55-year-old man from Crewe, was knocked to the ground in the collision.
He suffered minor injuries to his arms and legs, though the bicycle sustained significant damage.
