MORE than 200 trainees from a luxury motor manufacturer will be using their skills to help the community in a Crewe charity drive.

The trainees from Bentley will work with Climb, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Crewe Christian Concern and Crewe YMCA, helping in a variety of roles from strategy development and business planning to manual work.

Kate Forster, a Bentley graduate who will be supporting the charity project, said: "As trainees we all form a strong bond and, as many of us are from the local area, we wanted to give something back to the community.

"We can't wait to get started and not only help the charities themselves, but the many people they support."

The trainees will be divided between the charities throughout June and July.

At Climb (Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases) they will work on a support and communications strategy while for Cheshire Wildlife Trust they will help to conserve woodland, marsh and felled areas at Delamere Forest.

Trainees will provide event support, awareness raising and help build a bike shed at Crewe Christian Concern and at the YMCA they will give guidance to young people about getting into education or work.

Bentley has 205 trainees and has donated more than £500,000 to local and national charities in the past 10 years.
