A NANTWICH woman was airlifted to hospital after she was ‘clipped’ by a train at a level crossing in Willaston.
Emergency services were alerted on Saturday, July 25, around 5.45 following reports of an incident at Willaston level crossing.
A woman, 46, was airlifted to North Staffordshire Hospital, where she is currently being treated with an arm injury.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Our officers were called to Willaston level crossing, Nantwich, shortly before 5.45pm on Saturday, July 25, following reports of a person being clipped by
a train.
“Colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service also attended and a 46-year-old woman was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital.
“The woman remains in hospital with an injury to her arm. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
