LOCAL children’s charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm have only five places left on their Vietnam to Cambodia cycle challenge – could you be one of the remaining handful to join them in this challenge of a lifetime?

On March 9, 2016 a group of brave supporters of the charity will travel to South East Asia to cycle 400km from the frenzy of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to the tranquillity of Angkor Wat in Cambodia to raise vital funds for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.

They have so far recruited 15 participants to take part in this challenge and are calling for cyclists old and new to join them on this unique experience. The challenge will be suitable for experienced cyclists as well as those who haven’t been on a bike since childhood!

The charity hopes to raise in the region of £25,000 through this cycling challenge, the latest in their full programme of sponsored events. In the past they have taken teams to Everest Base Camp, into the Sahara Desert and along the Great Wall of China.

The cyclists will be passing through dazzling green rice paddies, ancient temples, coconut groves and thriving river communities for an unforgettable adventure in the saddle.

They will be supported by a fantastic team throughout their challenge which will take place between the 9th and 19th March next year. Each participant must pledge to raise a minimum of £2,995 in sponsorship.

CAFT Fundraiser Jure Modic comments: “I’ve recently taken over as Challenges Fundraiser here at CAFT and I’m so excited to be involved in this a once in a lifetime event. Vietnam and Cambodia have always been on my bucket list so to have the opportunity to visit both is amazing.

"To see these beautiful countries from such a unique viewpoint will be breath-taking, a truly unique experience which I’m sure we’ll all remember forever. And to do all of this whilst raising funds for the Adventure Farm is nothing short of a dream come true.”
