A CREWE beauty said she wants to ‘make Britain proud’ after being crowned Miss England.

Natasha Hemmings, 19, from Weston, near Crewe, was crowned Miss Cheshire back in June at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Chester.

This month, she competed against 60 other girls from around the country to be crowned Miss England at the finals.

Speaking after her win, she said: “I am completely overwhelmed. It is the most amazing and euphoric feeling.

“I am so proud to be British and it is my absolute honour to represent England in the Miss World finals.

“I still cannot quite believe that I am Miss England, a title I hold so dear and a role which requires hard work and dedication.

“Throughout the competition I have had the most fantastic experience and now I am just so excited for the World Finals.”

As part of her new role, Natasha will be looking to raise much-needed funds for a charity of her choice, which she has yet to decide upon.

She said: “I now have the opportunity to choose the charity I wish to champion and represent and I have been considering a few that are close to my heart.

“In the next few weeks I will be announcing the details and then I will be doing as much as I can to make a difference for the charity and to people’s lives.”

Natasha will now go on to represent England at the 65th Miss World pageant to be held on December 19, in Sanya, China.

She said: “Alongside the charity work I will be focusing on preparing for the Miss World finals as I really want to try and bring the crown home for our great country.

“So the next three months will be dedicated to all the preparations required to represent England on the world stage.

“I will be in the gym and practicing my vocals ahead of such an important event as I want to make Britain proud.”
