A CREWE student made a stunning impression in the finals of a national modelling competition.

Isabella Mae Burnham, 18, wowed judges with her catwalk displays and achieved second place in the Top Model of England 2015 event.

It was Isabella’s first ever live modelling competition and she faced tough competition from models from up and down the UK.

The South Cheshire College student has only been modelling in her spare time for the past six months but she has come a long way in a short space of time.

The former Congleton High School pupil said: “It has been an amazing six month journey during which I have made some lifelong friends, new contacts and gained professional advice.

“I’m having fun in the modelling industry but I think it’s important to keep your head down in education and achieve the best grades you can

“I was thrilled to finish second in the national competition and I’m proud of what I achieved.”

In her blossoming career to date, the 18-year-old has appeared on the Children’s BBC TV show Rocket’s Island and has had spells of modelling for high street stores.

She also bagged sponsorship from Damand, an independent boutique in Congleton that sells designer clothing, during the Top Model competition.

Top Model is the leading professional model search competition in the UK and has been discovering new model talent and creating dreams for a decade.

Isabella has already been approached and sponsored by LAB Apparel, Protime Fitness, Zara, Virtue Drinks and Cruga Biltong for other modelling work.

Isabella has had to juggle all of this with her studies at South Cheshire College, based in Crewe, where she is studying A-Levels in Business, Law, Accounts and Photography.

She plans to go travelling before heading to university to study Law/Business and then plans to develop her individual business plan.

Glowing with praise, Isabella’s mum Shelly Burnham, said: “I was always used to taking Izzy to football matches and now it has changed to fashion shows and travelling around the UK for photo-shoots.

“Her dad and I are extremely proud of our daughter for what she has become and achieved and throughout this she has achieved excellent grades in her final year at college.”
