A MAN had to be cut free from his car after a crash involving four vehicles on Saturday morning.
Fire crews were called to the scene on the A51 at 10.45am.
A Cheshire Fire spokesman added: "One man had to be cut free from a car involved in a four car road traffic collision on the A51 at Willaston.
"Firefighters released the casualty and handed him into the care of ambulance personnel.
"Police were also in attendance."
It was a busy Saturday for firefighters who were also called to a car fire at Alvaston Hall in Nantwich at 11.20am and a small kitchen fire at 12.35pm on Samuel Street in Crewe.
It is not thought anyone was injured in either incident.
A Cheshire Fire spokesman added: "Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, with a hose reel jet, gained entry to the property and found cooking had been left on the oven.
"The kitchen was full of smoke which was cleared by using a large fan.
"Never leave cooking unattended."
