FIREFIGHTERS were called to an incident in Crewe involving a chip pan fire.

Emergency services were called to an address in Nutfield Avenue at 6pm on Saturday, April 30.

Two fire engines from Crewe and one from Sandbach attended the incident.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to a report of a flat fire on Nutfield Avenue, Crewe.

“When they arrived they found that there had been a fire involving a chip pan but this had gone out.

“The flat was fitted with smoke alarms that had raised the alarm. There were no reports of any injuries at this incident.”
