LISA Hamlett, business manager of the McDonald’s restaurant on Dunwoody Way, has won a Ray Kroc Award, which recognises outstanding McDonald’s managers around the world.

Lisa was one of only 15 restaurant managers in the UK to receive the award – putting her in the top one per cent of managers to globally receive the honour.

Lisa, whose McDonald’s career spans almost 19 years, has been a business manager for the last four, most recently at the Dunwoody Way restaurant.

She received her award at the Ray Kroc gala ceremony at the McDonald’s Convention in Orlando, Florida, hosted by McDonald’s Global CEO Steve Easterbrook.

Lisa said: “It was an honour to be nominated for the Ray Kroc Award and receive global recognition for my hard work “The ceremony was really inspiring and it was great to meet like-minded McDonald’s managers from around the world.

“I wouldn’t have received this prestigious award without having such a great team of people working hard every day, so I’d like to thank everyone I work with for making the restaurant such a great place to work.”

Eddie Leligdowicz, local franchisee and owner of Crewe’s Dunwoody Way McDonald’s, said: “I am hugely proud of Lisa for being deservedly recognised for her achievements.

“To have been selected from 340 national applicants is a testimony of her outstanding talent, ability and leadership.

“Lisa is a great believer and advocate of strong people practices and this has been a significant contributor to her and her restaurant’s outstanding results.

“It is no surprise that her staff and her restaurant always generate complimentary comments from her customers; be that in the quality of the freshly made food they serve, the exceptional service they deliver or the meticulous attention to cleanliness given to her store and the surrounding community area.

“The Ray Kroc Awards are a great way to recognise and celebrate all that Lisa’s has achieved.”
