FIREFIGHTERS used a hose reel jet to put out a large supervised fire in the grounds of a property in Marsh Lane, Acton, which had spread to a hedgerow. A fire engine attended just after 5pm yesterday.

Firefighters were called to reports of a black bin on fire in a back garden at Becconsall Drive, Leighton, which was affecting fences and trees nearby.

A fire engine from Crewe attended the fire at 1.24am yesterday, and the crew carried out a health and safety assessment of the property.

Firefighters were called to deal with a quantity of tyres which were on fire in a steel shed in Wisaston Road, Crewe.

Fire engines from Crewe and Alsager attended the fire at 2.35pm on Sunday, and used hose reels and a covering jet to put out the fire.

A large fan was used to remove smoke from the shed.

Firefighters were called to a fire involving a post box in Neville Street, Crewe, at 10.11pm on August 10, and used a high pressure hose to put out the fire.

Firefighters were called to a vehicle which had smoke coming from its bonnet. A fire engine attended the incident in Middlewich Road, Nantwich, at 9.15pm on August 9.
