PARAMEDICS who attended to a Crewe man who died in a cycling accident in Mow Cop have been hailed for doing ‘everything they could’ to save the man.
A 36-year-old man from Crewe was cycling along Mow Lane on Tuesday, September 27 at 5.57pm, when he crashed.
Mow Cop man Mark Whalley, 56, sat with the man while waiting for the ambulance and wanted to let the grieving family know that he was not alone.
Mark’s wife, Sharon, told the Guardian: “My husband and another man saw the incident and got out and stayed with him. The other man called the ambulance and they sat and spoke to him while waiting for the emergency services.
“We just wanted the family to know that he wasn’t alone at all, from the moment the incident happened, they were straight there with him.
“Mark said the paramedics were amazing. Unfortunately they couldn’t save him but they really did do everything they could.”
