A PERVERT found with thousands of child abuse images will learn his fate at crown court.
In a hearing at Chester Magistrates Court on April 9, Andrew Keenan admitted to seven charges related to pictures of sexual abuse.
The court heard the 31-year-old, of Church Road, Northwich, had collected thousands of images between September 2007 and February last year.
The charges included:
- Making 590 category B indecent photographs of children between August 2014 and February 2023
- Distributing one category B indecent photograph on October 17, 2021
- Possessing 3,213 indecent photographs of children between August 2014 and February 2023
- Possessing 1,928 prohibited images of children between September 2007 and February 2023
- Making 574 category A (the most serious) indecent photographs of children between August 2014 and February 2023
- Making 2,049 category C indecent photographs of children between August 2014 and February 2023
- Possessing six extreme pornographic images portraying sexual acts involving dead animals between September 2007 and February 2023
Magistrates adjourned the hearing and committed the case to Chester Crown Court for sentencing.
A pre-sentence report was ordered before Keenan was granted conditional bail. He will return to court on May 14.
The bench also ordered Keenan to have no unsupervised access or contact with anyone under the age of 18, unless agreed by social services.
