A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been arrested following a police raid.

Northwich Proactive Policing Team has arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

It comes after a warrant was carried out at 7.45am this morning (April 26) at an address in Denton Drive, Northwich.

Officers searched the address and discovered a 'large quantity' of what are believed to be Class A drugs and other drug paraphernalia.

The suspect is currently in police custody where he is being questioned by officers.

Following the raid, detective constable Claire Heatley said: “This is a fantastic result which has led to the recovery of a large quantity of class A drugs, along with the arrest of a man on suspicion of drugs offences.

“The impact of drugs is well known, and I hope that this arrest provides reassurance to the community that we are doing all we can to stop those believed to be involved in this behaviour.

“Intelligence supplied by members of the public is crucial to this fight and I urge anyone with any information about suspected drug-related activity in their community to get in touch.

“We will continue to tackle drug dealing in Northwich and elsewhere in Cheshire head on, utilising all the resources at our disposal."

The warrant was conducted as part of an ongoing operation in relation to the supply of illegal drugs in the Northwich area.
