COSEY Club leapt into the Premier Division driving seat with a 5-3 win over Nantwich Road ASLEF.

LMR B are second on matches won after they whitewashed bottom side Cheshire Cheese, with Dave Bickerton and Chris Gibson enjoying 180s.

Andy Pitt staved off a whitewash for Kings A in their defeat to Vine A, for whom Robbie Arrowsmith won in 16 and 18 darts as well as hitting a 180.

Pioneers Club A dropped off the top into third spot after their bye week.

Craig Simpson (Cosey), Graham Arrowsmith (Vine A) and Patrick Lynskey (LMR B) all fired 17 darters and Mark Jodrill (Cosey) won in 18 and 19.

Jamie Yarwood (Commercial) included a 180 in his 18 dart win and Shaun Boffey (Cheese) hit a 19 darter.

Delamere duo Stewart Bennett and Clive Lucking hit 180s, as did LMR B pair Dave Bickerton and Chris Gibson, who fired 33 dart pairs wins at 30.33 PDA with respective partners Carl Dennel and Danny Ayres.

Oddfellows Club returned to the top of Division One with a 6-2 defeat of Flying Lady A, with Dave Coyne blasting a 13 darter and Phil Shaw a 180 for the Lady.

Brunel Arms A drop to second, four points back, after their bye week.

Third placed Amalgamated A lost 6-2 to visitors Pioneers Club B, with Dan Downey celebrating the Pi’s first win of the season by hitting a 16 darter and a 118 checkout.

Mark Clowes (White Lion A) bombed an 18 dart leg to help his team take a 3-1 lead, but hosts Nantwich Road A rallied well to force a draw. Division Two toppers The Imp won four of the last five games, with Berty Edwards hitting a 19 dart leg, to beat Amalgamated B 5-3 and move nine points clear of Sydney Arms.

They struggled to draw with visitors Express despite Rob Paine’s 16 darter and 180 in the opener.

Third placed Horse Shoe just about kept their trophy hopes alive with a 6-2 win over Bridge A, aided by 17 dart legs from Cliff Williams and Simon Phillips.

Division Three pacemakers, and likely champions, Willaston Club hit Kings Arms B for six to add to their already huge lead.

Nantwich Road B leapfrog Swan & Chequers into second place, also hitting six at bottom placed Lady B.

Swan’s Patrick Brennan won the first game, but then all went downhill fast as visitors Coppenhall Club won all the remaining games for a 7-1 victory.

Paul Blythe (Willaston) hit a 19 darter, Jamie Ball (Webb) a 20 darter and team mate Danny Welch a 180.

Division Four toppers Prince of Wales A are the champions, clinched in fine style with a whitewash of hosts Nags Head in which Lyndon Cartwright and Ben Davies won with respective 15 and 17 darters and Sarah Goodwin with a ton checkout.

Second placed Duke C were beaten 5-3 by bottom placed visitors Dishers B.

Duke C hold a 12-point buffer over White Lion, who drew at Brunel Arms C, but both teams have to play the champions either side of their own clash. Kevin Thackwell (Brunel C) won in 18 darts.

Division Five pacemakers Hop Pole B were beaten 5-3 by bottom placed Foresters Arms B, but rivals Dishers A fared even worse, losing 6-2 to Prince of Wales D, who move ahead of them.
