NANTWICH Town are urging fans to get behind them ahead of a clash with relegation-threatened Belper Town on Saturday.

The club have even come up with their own hashtag, #IAmNantwich to encourage fans.

Following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Rushall Olympic, manager Phil Parkinson gave a passionate reaction, where he revealed all about his work at the club.

“I am Nantwich through and through,” he said. “I will be here almost every night of the week, putting the hours in.

“Not just with the first team, but with the community and the players, driving things forward with the youth teams.

“Because when Nantwich is one club and moving in the right direction, we’re a real force to be reckoned with.”

The international break falls this weekend, which coincides with Dabbers' outing at the Weaver Stadium.

The club hope to encourage a large crowd, offering free entrance for children with a paying adult.

Kick-off at the stadium, off Waterlode, Nantwich, is 3pm on Saturday..

Parkinson has picked up 10 points from his first seven games in charge since he took over in February.

A Nantwich spokesperson added: "The Dabbers have scored in six of those games and defensive performances have also significantly improved.

"With seven games remaining, Nantwich Town sit just outside the relegation places.

"Now is the time for the community to come together and really get behind their local team."
