UNBLEMISHED records in the Crewe Oddies Club Open League were almost halved when a further six tumbled to leave four at darts and half that number at dominoes.

Premier Division Darts new leaders are current Champions W/End LMR B, who took over at the top after whitewashing hosts Kings A.

Deposed leaders Pioneers Club drop to second, three points off the pace, after a resurgent Holly Bush relieved them of their 100% win record by winning both pairs games in their 5-3 victory.

Third placed Delamere were in a generous mood, allowing visitors Vine A to overturn a 4-2 deficit and grab a draw, replicating the Bush achievement of winning both pairs games in the process.

Top darts performer was Chris Gibson (LMR B) with a 14 darter and a 180, and then joining forces with Patrick Lynskey, who himself bombed a brace of 17 darters, in a 33 dart pairs win.

Jamie Yarwood (Holly Bush) ended his 15 dart leg with a 136 checkout and fired a 16 darter.

Carl Dennel (LMR B) hit a 17 dart leg, Stewart Bennett (Delamere) an 18 darter, and teammates Jim Hamlett 18 and 20 darters and Ben Barnes an 18 darter and a 180.

Howard Bateman (Vine A) hit a 20 dart leg, colleague Graham Arrowsmith a ton finish.

Division 1 Darts top four teams met, pacemakers Cheshire Cheese forfeiting their unblemished record to fourth placed visitors Horse Shoe who took a 3-1 lead, although the Cheese responded positively and eventually forced a draw.

The clash of main challengers Hop Pole A and Pioneers B was won 5-3 by the Pole, causing a swap of places with the Pole now one point ahead.

Frazer Hill (Pole A) won in 17 and 18 darts and bombed a 116 finish, teammate Darren Walker fired a 20 darter.

Division 2 Darts saw Willaston Club replaced at the top on matches won by Amalgamated B, who overturned hosts Nantwich Road B’s 3-1 lead to win 5-3, which demoted Nantwich Road to fifth.

Willaston lost a League darts match for the first time since joining the League four seasons ago when visitors Sydney Arms triumphed 5-3, a victory spearheaded by Rob Paine and Lee Ross who bombed respective 13 and 17 darters, Rob including a 180 in his.

For Willaston Jamie Clorley hit an 18 darter and Lee Moffatt a 180.

Division 3 Darts pacemakers Brunel B are again threatening a runaway, a 7-1 defeat of White Lion taking them four points clear of main rivals Kings B and Cheshire Cheese whose clash ended all square to leave a status quo.

Swan & Chequers have now entered the fray after a 7-1 win at Vine B.

Coppenhall let slip a 4-0 advantage as visitors Nags Head B rallied to force the draw that moved both teams to midpoint in a close section.

Division 4 Darts top pair Duke of Bridgewater B and Brunel C remain split by two points after big wins over Dishers B and Foresters B to move further ahead of new challengers Coach & Horses, whose 5-3 win at Duke C leaves them five points off the pace. Dave Dodd (Foresters B) fired a 180.

Premier Division Dominoes sees Vine A taking over at the top by a point after a 5-3 victory at Delamere, with Holly Bush holding second spot despite losing 6-2 at Pioneers A. Cosey Club did not play so consequently drop to fourth in a very close section that has two points covering the top six.

Division 1 Dominoes has current Champions Nantwich Road A’s 5-3 win at Amalgamated A moving them one point ahead of Horse Shoe who drew at Cheshire Cheese.

Third placed Imp let slip a 3-1 lead in their draw at Flying Lady A in an extremely close section that has so far returned 50% drawn matches, with five points covering the top eight teams.

Division 2 Dominoes leaders Woodside retained their 100% record by beating Bridge A 5-3, but had to overturn a 3-1 deficit to achieve it.

Amalgamated B hit promoted hosts Nantwich Road B for six to join Hawk and Bridge C, 5-3 victors over Captain Webb and Rising Sun A, in joint second place.

Division 3 Dominoes is still headed by White Lion and Coppenhall Club, despite both losing their unblemished records in 5-3 defeats by Brunel B and third placed Nags Head B.

Division 4 Dominoes has new leaders in Dishers Club B, whose whitewash of Duke of Bridgewater B gives them a two point’s buffer over deposed leaders Brunel C, held to a draw by an understrength Foresters Arms B, who did well to overturn a 3-1 deficit.
