CREWE FC lost at newly promoted Congleton Vale on the opening night of the new Cheshire Football League Premier Divison.
Vale seemed to settle well into Premier League life as they defeated Crewe 3-1.
Matt Ben-Accom opened the scoring after 27 minutes to give Congleton a half-time lead and James Spencer came off the bench to score a second-half brace in five minutes.
Crewe’s goal was scored by Chris Jackson.
On Saturday Crewe host Denton Town, who won 5-2 at Gamesley on Tuesday.
