The CREWE Oddies Club Open League was further depleted when the closure of the Foresters Arms led to the resignation of the team, whose record has been expunged.

Two further 100 per cent darts records, held by Pioneers Club A and Cheshire Cheese (Shav), also tumbled, leaving just two at each game.

The Premier Division Darts pace is hotting up after leaders Pioneers Club A surrendered their 100 per cent winning record to visitors Nantwich Road ASLEF, who earned a very creditable draw.

The Pi’s still head the table, but now only by two points from West End LMR B, who completely overpowered hosts Oddies Club, for whom Dave Coyne staved off an embarrassing whitewash.

Third placed Eight Farmers A take closer order after beating basement team Hop Pole A 6-2.

Top arrows came from Pi’s opener Tony Richardson with a brace of 16 darters. The Cosey Club trio of Dave Wood, Craig Sharples and Bobby Baynham, along with Danny Ayres (LMR B) and Vine A’s Graham Arrowsmith hit single 16 dart legs.

Tom Kelly (Farmers) and Graham Threadgold (ASLEF) chucked 17 darters and Vine A’s sole winner Robbie Arrowsmith fired a brace of 18 darters, a 104 checkout and a maximum 180.

Justin (Vickers (Farmers) and Tony Swindells (Cosey) hit respective 19 and 20 darters, Stewart Bennett (Farmers) and Steve Tizard (Vine A) blasted 128 and 114 checkouts and Simon Phillips (Horse Shoe) a 180.

Division One pacemakers Willaston Club retained their unblemished win record and move five points clear at the top after a 6-2 victory at Amalgamated B, with Crown falling five points off the pace despite a 5-3 win over Brunel Arms A.

Broughton Arms are now hot on the heels of Crown after their 6-2 defeat of visitors White Lion lifted them three places up the table.

Amalgamated A let slip a 4-1 advantage in their eventual draw with Cheshire Cheese, who drop two places to fifth. Ken Greenall (Crown) and Jamie Clorley (Willaston) bombed respective 16 and 17 dart legs and Nantwich Road A duo Dave Scott and Rob Challinor fired 20 darters.

Rob Williams (Amalgamated B) fired a ton checkout and team mate Steve Mellor along with Crown pair Ben Snape and Stu Wilson and Dene Smith (Cheese) all hit 180s.

Division Two leaders Brunel Arms B had a bye week and are now level on points at the top with Hawk, who whitewashed hosts Bridge C.

Rising Sun A recovered from 4-1 down to draw at Flying Lady A, but drop to third, three points off the pace. Colin Cook (Hawk) hit a 17 darter and received good back-up from Nick Bayliss with an 18 dart leg and John Howard who hit a 180.

Kings B duo Tony Taylor and Steve Wilson included 180’s in respective 18 and 21 dart legs, and team mate Gareth Wood hit a 21 darter.

Woodside’s sole winner Stuart Eastwood prevented a complete rout. Division Three leading four teams met with Cheshire Cheese clinging on to top place on matches won from Swan & Chequers after losing 5-3 to them.

Third placed Coppenhall Club move six points ahead of Duke of Bridgewater B after walloping them 7-1, with the Duke now having to fend off a strong challenge from a trio of chasing teams, all with a match in hand.

Shaun Young (Nags Head B) won in 18 and 21 darts and also hit a 109 finish. Gary Barber (Swan) and Duke B’s sole winner Cody Dawson chucked respective 130 and 136 finishes and maximum 180s were recorded by David Poole (Swan) and Alan Charlesworth (Vine B).

Division Four, adjusted to take into account the resignation of Foresters Arms, has Nags Head A still at the top despite not playing.

Two points behind are Hop Pole B, held to a draw by bottom placed Eight Farmers B. Jim Taylor (Coach) hit a 104 checkout.

Premier Division Dominoes top two West End LMR B and Pioneers Club A gained 5-3 victories over the Oddies and Nantwich Road ASLEF to leave a status quo.

Vine A won 6-2 at Cosey Club to take over third spot from Hop Pole A, beaten 5-3 at Eight Farmers.

Division One Dominoes toppers Broughton Arms beat White Lion 5-3, but now hold top spot on matches won after Nantwich Road A levelled the points totals with 6-2 defeat of Pioneers Club B.

Amalgamated A and B now share third spot after the A team drew at Cheshire Cheese and the B team saw off bottom placed Willaston Club 6-2.

Division Two has 100 percenters Flying Lady A taking over at the top after demoting Rising Sun A to fourth by beating them 6-2. Current Champions Woodside were beaten 5-3 by visitors Bridge A and drop to second spot, one point behind the leaders and 2 ahead of Hawk, up a place after a 6-2 win at Bridge C.

Division Three toppers Coppenhall Club were beaten 5-3 by visitors Duke of Bridgewater B who are now just a single point behind them, with current Champions White Lion in a threatening third spot after hitting hosts Brunel Arms C for six.

A rehashed Division Four has joint leaders in Nags Head A, who had a bye and Hop Pole B, who beat Eight Farmers B 6-2, with Dishers Club A, who also had a bye, in third spot.
