THE Crewe Oddies Club Open League Premier Division Darts is now an odds on two team contest involving regular contestants West End LMR B and Pioneers Club A.

LMR B beat next to bottom Kings Arms A 6-2 to take sole charge of the lead by a point from the Pi’s, who beat Vine A 5-3.

Closest to the top pair are Cosey Club and Eight Farmers A, whose clash ended 6-2 in favour of Cosey to leave the pair level on points, but way behind the top two.

Bobby Baynham (Cosey) won in 15 and 18 darts and was well backed up by 19 darters by Tony Swindells and Dave Wood.

LMR B’s Chris Gibson and Shaun Wilkinson and Clive Lucking (Farmers A) hit 17 darters, Clive ending his with a 118 finish.

Patrick Lynskey (LMR B) won with a brace of 18 darters, Paul Hamilton Snr (Hop Pole A) fired a 180 and Aaron Taylor and Andy Pitt (Kings A) hit a 35 dart pairs win at 28.6 PDA.

Division One toppers Willaston Club maintained their 100% win record with a 6-2 win over Pioneers Club B and main rivals Broughton Arms disposed of Cheshire Cheese 7-1, Dene Smith and Cindy Hough staving off the whitewash with their last game pairs win.

Amalgamated B beat Brunel Arms A 5-3 to climb three places to third, but are seven points off the pace. Rob Paine (Willaston) chucked a 16 dart leg, team mate Lee Moffat an 18 darter and Rob Challinor (Nantwich Road A) a 101 kill.

Paul Jones (Amals B), Jamie Clorley (Willaston) and Dan Downey (Pioneers B) registered 180s, but all were eclipsed by Stuart Gilligan (Broughton) who bombed a maximum 180 in each of his three singles games.

Division Two runaway leaders Brunel Arms B extended their unbeaten run with a 5-3 win at Rising Sun B to move nine points clear of Hawk, who did not play, and Sun A.

Hot shot Steve O’Neill (Brunel B) blasted a 13 dart leg and team mates Lyndon Cartwright with a 104 finish to an 18 darter and Keith Fulham with a 180 provided good back-up.

Tony Taylor (Kings B) hit a 20 darter.

Division Three toppers Swan & Chequers were punished for letting slip a 4-1 advantage in their clash with close rivals Coppenhall Club, who rallied to snatch a draw.

Cheshire Cheese thrashed hosts Vine B 7-1 to move up a place to second, two points behind the Swan.

Matt Smith (Cheese) fired a 127 checkout, Shaun Young (Nag B) an 82 finish on the bull and Tom Knibbs (Cheese) a 180.

Division Four pacemakers Nags Head A won 5-3 at Hop Pole B to stay well clear of Dishers Club A and Duke of Bridgewater C, who gained 6-2 victories over Bridge D and Dishers Club B.

James Nolan (Pole B) won with 20 and 21 darters and Pete Broadhurst (Duke C) and Sam Critchley (Dishers A) hit 21 dart legs.

Premier Division Dominoes' leading four teams clashed, leaders West End LMB R having to give best to fourth placed Kings Arms A 5-3 and Pioneers Club A moving a point ahead of Vine A into second spot after beating them, also 5-3.

Fortunately LMR B only had their big lead slightly dented, but the contest behind them has five points embracing the next seven teams. Eight Farmers A were in a generous mood, letting slip a 4-1 advantage in their draw with visitors Cosey Club.

Division One toppers Nantwich Road B were beaten 5-3 by visitors White Lion, but doubled their lead to two points as main rivals Broughton Arms were walloped 6-2 by their visitors Cheshire Cheese who move up to fourth.

Third placed Amalgamated B beat Brunel Arms A 5-3 to close in on the top pair.

Division Two top two clashed, Flying Lady A unseating Woodside from top spot on matches won by beating them 5-3.

Rising Sun A hold third spot after a 5-3 win over Brunel Arms B. Sydney Arms second win on the trot, 6-2 at Bridge C, lifted them to sixth, eight points away from the bottom spot they occupied three weeks ago.

Keith Barnes (Kings B) staved off a whitewash by Bridge A.

Division Three toppers Coppenhall Club move five points clear after thrashing hosts Swan & Chequers 7-1, Swan’s last pair Steve Warburton and Patrick Brennan staving off the whitewash.

Last season’s top two White Lion and Nags Head B met, the resultant draw keeping the Lion second, five points adrift of the leaders and three ahead of Flying Lady B, who beat Brunel Arms C 6-2.

Division Four pacemakers Nags Head B won 6-2 at Hop Pole B to demote the Pole to fourth and move nine points ahead of new challengers and sole dominoes 100 percenters Dishers Club B, who also hit six at Duke of Bridgewater C, and have a match in hand.
