NANTWICH Town manager Phil Parkinson was full of praise for his side’s “outstanding” display in their 4-0 win at Grantham Town.

Sean Cooke blasted a first-half hat-trick on Saturday before Theo Stair’s late goal put the seal on an impressive victory.

After the game, an exuberant Parkinson heaped praise on his side’s attacking players as they got their second away win of the season.

He also encouraged people who wrote them off after three home defeats to continue providing him with motivation.

“I’m absolutely delighted, in the first half I thought we were outstanding and we stamped our mark on the game with our fluent passing,” he said.

“The way we were getting in behind their defence, we looked a constant threat.

“Our front three were outstanding again, the midfield were rock solid and the back four have another clean sheet and they never really looked in any danger.

“People wrote us off early on because of that poor start with three home games, but let them write us off because that’s the fire in my belly I need to motivate my players with.”
